Boho Baby Shower

Styled shoots can be a lot of work, but they’re always so much fun! My hopes when doing them is to inspire the viewers and show you what is possible for your own celebrations. Keep reading if you want to see what I’m talking about.

The theme of this shoot was a bohemian baby shower meant to treat the mama to be with love from friends and family. We wanted this to be a relaxing shower where mama can mingle with her favourites while enjoying some yummy treats in a cozy atmosphere.

In my opinion, you can’t have a bohemian party without some stunning florals to set the tone. Hen and Chicks created this beautiful floral topper that we fixed onto the teepee from Modern Tipi. I wish I could’ve kept it forever! The teepee vignette served as the centrepiece to the room, as an inviting, cozy hangout.

We spread flowers throughout the event by adding more to the dessert table, specifically the minimalist naked cake from Pretty Sweet. Some extra florals on top was all it needed. The floral hoop backdrop was hand crafted by myself using silk botanicals in the hopes we can use it again. It’s currently on display in the MDD office! The dessert table also featured mini strawberry donuts with gold glitter, also from Pretty Sweet, and champagne flutes ready to be filled with bubbly to cheers the mama!

Guests should feel welcomed, cozy and loved at this shower. As should the guest of honour! We had a custom print made just for this day by the lovely Alison Martin at AMartin Creative. The print says “Home is wherever I’m with you”. It’s the perfect finishing touch needed to tie the theme together.

And after the guests shower mama with love and (permission granted) belly rubs, mama can hang this sentimental print in the nursery. Who else has all the feelings now?!

As a special treat to you, this custom print is available for download in the MDD Insiders lounge.
