Every love story is unique, and Rebecca and Steven’s journey to the altar is one filled with warmth, laughter, and heartfelt moments. We had the honour of designing their stunning summer wedding, and it’s one we’ll remember for years to come. How They Met
Rebecca and Steven’s love story began in the most serendipitous way—at a friend’s house. Steven was visiting a close friend of Rebecca’s while in Calgary, and as Rebecca recalls, “We immediately clicked, and the rest is history.” It was the kind of connection that felt meant to be from the very start.
The Proposal
For Rebecca, a private and intimate proposal was a must, and Steven made sure it was nothing short of perfect. “It was right before Christmas,” Rebecca shared. “I came home from helping my mom prepare for the festivities to find our condo decorated with flowers, candles, and photos from over the years. It was really special.”

The Wedding Vision
Rebecca’s dream had always been to marry on a vineyard in Italy. While they couldn’t make the trip due to aging family members, they brought the essence of Italy to life here at home. The result? A breathtaking outdoor wedding at a tented venue. “Melissa and her team helped us see what was possible with our venue,” Rebecca said.
From the florals framing the tent to the Aperol Spritz and Peroni cocktails during the garden cocktail hour, every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect their vision.
The Big Day
As with any wedding, nerves were high leading up to the day, particularly around all the intricate details coming together. But Rebecca’s imagination was brought to life seamlessly. “Melissa and her team did a wonderful job,” she said.
Once the day arrived, excitement took over. Rebecca and Steven were thrilled to have all their loved ones gathered in one place to celebrate, and of course, to officially become husband and wife.

Favorite Moments and Details
For Rebecca and Steven, the day wasn’t about one singular moment but rather the overall feeling. “We felt so blessed and loved,” Rebecca said. “We truly couldn’t stop smiling all day.”
Highlights included:
- The Tent and Florals: Romantic and timeless, the tent and floral arrangements served as the perfect backdrop for their celebration—and some fun photo booth props later!
- Cocktail Hour: Set in the gardens, guests mingled while sipping Italian-inspired drinks, a nod to Rebecca’s dream wedding destination.
- The First Look: A private and emotional moment between the couple that became one of their most cherished memories.
- First Dance: Their choice of “I Got A Car” by George Strait reflected their love of road trips and life’s simple joys.
