Whether you’re in a relationship or not, you should still take full advantage of celebrating Galentine’s Day, the holiday made up by Leslie Knope of Parks and Rec. Celebrated on February 13th, it is a day for ladies to kick back and have a good time celebrating with other ladies in their lives.
There’s plenty of local hot spots here in YYC that would make the perfect Galentine’s celebration. From food to pampering to shopping, this guide has got you covered.

Spa Squad
Get your pamper on at Distilled Beauty Bar. Not only do they offer amazing spa services such as manis, pedis, and facials but they also have an in-house wine and coffee bar. Who doesn’t want a relaxing pedicure with a wine in hand?
Book you and your bestie into Stillwater Spa for a day of relaxation with one of their lovely spa packages. Bonus, you get to order a healthy gourmet entrée from their in-house menu. I can speak from experience – this one is worth it!
Local Shopping
YYC Girl Gang is hosting a Galentine’s market at The Commons on Saturday, February 9th.
There will be plenty of local vendors selling some amazing products such as yummy baked goods from Pretty Sweet and vintage inspired goods from Inspired Findings. The market goes from 10:00am – 4:00pm and it’s only $3 cash entry at the door.
Grab your girls and check it out!
Little Modern Market is hosting their Winter Edition market on Saturday, February 16th at Rally Pointe and goes from 9:30am to 3:30pm. It’s a modern and local pop up market, bringing small and locally owned shops to the suburbs.
This seasonal market features many local vendors including – but definitely not limited to:
-
Jacob Grace Designs – kids and adult clothing
-
Modern Tipi – modern tents for your little’s
-
Matchstick Wax – small batch soy wax candles
-
kerAMikk functional pottery – mugs, bowls and more
