The Perfect Day

Planning and styling this bridal shower styled shoot was such a dream come true for me.  Honestly, if I could go back and do my own wedding prep again, I would 100% plan this for myself! Amazing food, best friends, fancy party dresses and a side of bubbly – yes please!

The shoot was held on the grounds at Azuridge Estate Hotel, a must-see place if you ask me. The location is absolutely stunning and features tons of greenery, a water fountain and a grand gazebo backdrop.  Top that off with a beautiful, sunny day and you’re all set to have the best outdoor event you could ask for.

When planning this bridal shower, I wanted to highlight a beautiful place in Calgary that could transform into an elegant garden party where the bride would be showered in love – and amazing treats!

Food and Decor

Our “bride” along with her three “bridesmaids” enjoyed brunch provided by Azuridge featuring waffles topped with berries, mini parfaits, mini quiche and a yummy charcuterie board.  The custom desserts from Pretty Sweet were made to compliment the colour palette of pinks, raspberries, creamy whites and the lush greenery in the florals.  And can we talk about the cake? Art and Alexander provided us with the most beautiful hand painted cake I’ve ever seen (insert heart eyes emoji here).

I wanted the bridal shower to be feminine, delicate and memorable. And the furniture from Orange Trunk Vintage Styling and Rentals helped us achieve that look. The mix of the farmhouse styled dining table with the gold rimmed glass bar shelf paired so well together. The floral centrepieces, delicate linens and custom menus were truly the only décor needed to finish off the look. Each chair was fastened with a small floral vase – a great take home gift idea for your guests! I just love the extra detail adding a touch of elegance to the farmhouse chairs.

Sip, Sip, Enjoy!

After enjoying brunch, the ladies moved to the parlour setup adorned with vintage chairs and a sofa and more importantly – more dessert and champagne! Here our bride presented her bridesmaids with the most thoughtful gifts, the Sono Collection necklaces by Apostle Boutique and AMartin Creative. Bridal gifts are so special and should be selected with love and consideration. These are the ladies giving their time, money and support by standing with you on your special day. Make sure they feel a little special too!
